In the eyes of Indian society, Biru Malik, a nine-year-old boy living in a remote village in Bihar, is regarded as one of the lowest of the low.
Biru is an Untouchable. He has been excluded from education and spends his day herding the family pigs.
Biru is resigned to his future – but his parents are not.
