Field of Genes 8:00, 1999 (Ref: EU9939)

Description

British consumers are probably the most sensitive in the world when it comes to food safety issues. They still haven’t got over the scandal of mad cow disease where beef infected with BSE reached the human food chain. Britain doesn’t grow GM crops commercially but has started field tests. Greenpeace activists have launched dramatic protests. They are against even testing GM crops and raid GM crop testing sites. In this film we look at this highly sensitive issue.
